    These brides took their hairstyles to the next level, ditching the traditional bridal chignons and blowouts and playing around with different braids, twists, and creative updos instead. But a cool hairstyle doesn't have to mean an intricate braid or colorful flower crown.     This bride took the classic French braid to a whole new level! With help from stylists from, she sported an intricate updo, featuring a French-braided headband that gave way to a sleek updo, adorned with a flower comb.

    Diana Streany braided this bride's blond locks into a milkmaid braid and finished off the 'do with a golden mesh headband from Anthropologie that was embellished and restructured with porcelain roses and seed pearls by a bridesmaid.

    Bun with Comb

    This bride wore a gold peacock comb made by Cameron Johnston of, in her loose but full updo styled by Tina Eckard Riecke of. The comb served as the bride's something borrowed, as it was the same comb her sister-in-law wore at her own wedding.

    Delicate Headpiece

    styled this bride's sleek updo, which she accessorized with a headpiece. The sparkling earrings, lent by her mother, became the bride's "something borrowed."

    This cool-girl bride owns a bridal accessories company, so of course, she had to design her own floral headpiece. The red silk flowers were a nod to the the color scheme of her traditional Indian wedding the previous day, and the gold accents on the crystal vine headband added a rustic touch. Her hairstylist from New York City, Stacy at, styled her loose, low updo to complement the headpiece.

    This bride's hair may look short, but really, she's sporting a gorgeously executed faux bob! "I'd grown my hair out for a year for the wedding," she said. "We [she and stylist ] chose a look that rolled it under in a half bob and made it look short, but I loved it."
